What does Firstbase cost over two years?

Firstbase sells formation, the registered agent, the mail address and tax filing as separate products, so the formation price alone understates the cost. Here is a single-member Wyoming LLC over the first two years: formation, two years of subscriptions and one annual report fee, with the same Wyoming state fees for both providers.

With Mailroom Basic, Firstbase comes to $1,490, which is $629 more than our Starter. If you already have a US address you can use, Firstbase drops to $860, $1 less than ours. With Form 5472 prepared each year, Firstbase comes to $3,288 and our Pro plan to $2,161.

Firstbase One bundles Mailroom Premium, the registered agent, accounting and tax filing for $2,388 a year ($199 a month, billed yearly), or $5,038 over two years with formation and Wyoming's fees. It includes bookkeeping, which our plans don't, so it's worth comparing if you'd pay for accounting anyway.

Which states and company types does Firstbase support?

Firstbase forms LLCs and C-corps in Delaware or Wyoming. Its Agent plan can register an existing company in other states, which is called foreign qualification, but it doesn't form companies directly elsewhere. We form LLCs only, but in any state.

For many bootstrapped LLCs, Wyoming is a good fit anyway: its annual report fee starts at $60 a year. See Wyoming vs Delaware LLC and the Wyoming state guide. If you plan to raise venture capital, investors usually want a Delaware C-corp, which Firstbase forms and we don't; read LLC vs C-corp before choosing.

EIN, bank accounts and Stripe

Both services get your EIN, the IRS's tax ID for businesses, without a Social Security number. Firstbase includes expedited EIN setup in Start and says no SSN or ITIN is required. On our Starter we prepare and file Form SS-4 for you; on Pro we apply by phone as your designee. See how to get an EIN without an SSN.

Firstbase's Start plan includes an application with one of its banking partners, such as Mercury, and says accounts are subject to the partner's approval. Our Pro plan includes help with bank and Stripe applications, and we can't guarantee approval either. Read opening a US bank account as a non-resident and Stripe for a US LLC.

Form 5472 and annual compliance

A US single-member LLC owned by a foreign person generally files Form 5472 with a pro forma Form 1120 for each year it has transactions with its owner, and money you put in or take out counts, even in a year with no income. That's from the IRS instructions for Form 5472; our Form 5472 guide explains the details.

Firstbase publishes its price for this: $899 a year for single-member LLCs owned by a non-US person, covering Form 5472, the pro forma 1120, 1099 forms and an extension if needed, with catch-up bookkeeping extra. Our Pro plan includes Form 5472 and the pro forma 1120, prepared by our US tax partner, for $999 a year, along with the agent, address and annual report. We're not a CPA firm, so confirm your filing requirements with a US CPA.

State filings work similarly with both. Firstbase Agent files your annual report and franchise tax reports, and our Starter files your annual report. In both cases you pay the state's own fees. See the LLC annual compliance checklist for everything that's due each year.

Which should you choose?

  • A Delaware C-corp for a venture-backed startup: Firstbase.
  • A Wyoming LLC with your own US address and no tax help needed: two years cost $860 with Firstbase and $861 on our Starter, so compare what else you need.
  • A Wyoming LLC without a US address: our Starter includes the address, agent and annual report.
  • Form 5472 every year: our Pro plan, or Firstbase's tax package if you prefer to buy it separately.
  • Bookkeeping as well: Firstbase Accounting or Firstbase One.
  • A law, accounting or CA/CS firm: Firstbase for Partners or our partner plans.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Firstbase cost?
As of September 2026, Firstbase Start shows $99 one-time under an offer, with a list price of $399. A registered agent is required at $299 a year per state, and so is a US address, with Mailroom from $35 a month. Tax filing for a non-US single-member LLC is $899 a year.
Is a registered agent included with Firstbase Start?
No. Firstbase's pricing page says registered agent services are required for incorporation, and it sells them as Firstbase Agent for $299 a year per state. Agent also covers annual report and franchise tax filings, with state fees paid separately. Our Starter includes a registered agent and the annual report in its yearly price.
Can Firstbase form a Wyoming LLC?
Yes. Firstbase forms LLCs and C-corps in Delaware or Wyoming. For other states, its Agent plan offers foreign qualification, which registers an existing company to do business there. If you want to form your LLC directly in another state, such as New Mexico or Florida, you'll need a different provider.
Can I get an EIN through Firstbase without an SSN?
Yes. Firstbase's Start page says you don't need to be a US resident and that no SSN or ITIN is required, and expedited EIN setup is included in the Start fee. We also get EINs without an SSN: on Starter we file Form SS-4 for you, and on Pro we apply by phone as your designee.
Does Firstbase file Form 5472?
Yes, as a paid add-on. Its tax filing package for single-member LLCs owned by a non-US person costs $899 a year and includes Form 5472, the pro forma 1120 and an IRS extension if needed. Catch-up bookkeeping costs extra. Our Pro plan includes Form 5472 and the pro forma 1120 for $999 a year.
Is Firstbase cheaper than Register Quick LLC?
For a Wyoming LLC over two years, Firstbase comes to about $1,490 with Mailroom Basic, or $860 if you have your own US address, against $861 on our Starter. That uses Firstbase's current $99 offer; at its $399 list price, add $300.
