How much does Bizee cost over two years for a Wyoming LLC?

Here is what a founder outside the US pays in the first two years for a single-member Wyoming LLC: formation, two years of plan or registered agent fees, and Wyoming's first yearly report fee. We show the Bizee packages that include an EIN and an operating agreement, and use Wyoming's standard online filing fee for every column.

Bizee Standard comes to $511 over two years, $350 less than our Starter plan. Basic with the $70 EIN and $99 operating agreement add-ons comes to $481. If you have an SSN and are happy to handle the yearly paperwork yourself, Bizee is the lower-cost option.

The totals don't buy the same things. Starter files your Wyoming annual report, gets your EIN without an SSN, and includes a US business address with legal and state mail scanned. With Bizee you file the report yourself or buy its annual report service, and a virtual address is $29 a month. On our Pro plan, the Wyoming LLC comes to $2,161 over two years with Form 5472 prepared each year.

Can Bizee get an EIN if you don't have an SSN?

Bizee's Standard and Premium packages include an EIN, the IRS's tax ID for businesses, and Basic customers can add one for $70. Bizee's EIN page says owners who don't have a Social Security number (SSN) should use an ITIN, the IRS's tax processing number for people who can't get an SSN. It also points owners with only an international address to the IRS's phone line. It doesn't say whether its own service can apply for someone who has neither number.

That matters if you have neither number. Before you buy, ask Bizee how it will get your EIN. If it can't apply for you, you can file Form SS-4 with the IRS yourself: see how to get an EIN without an SSN and ITIN vs SSN vs EIN.

On our Starter plan, we prepare and file Form SS-4 for you when you have no SSN or ITIN. On Pro, we apply by phone as your designee, the person you authorize on the form to deal with the IRS for you. The IRS decides how long it takes, so plan your bank application around it.

What renews after year one, and which add-ons to watch

Bizee's package fee is paid once. These are the costs that can follow:

• Registered agent: free for the first year, then $149 a year. Bizee's terms say it renews automatically on the card on file; you cancel by appointing a new agent with the state and telling Bizee.
• Virtual business address: $29 a month after the free first month, if you want a separate US business address with mail handling.
• Basic add-ons: an EIN is $70 and an operating agreement $99, so Basic with both costs $169, against $199 for Standard, which includes both.
• Annual report filing: a separate Bizee service. Its page doesn't list the fee, so check the price for your state.
• Bookkeeping and tax returns: $125 a month, described for sole proprietorships and single-member LLCs.

With us, the plan price is the yearly cost. Starter renews at $349 and keeps the registered agent, business address, mail scanning and annual report filing. Does Bizee prepare Form 5472 for foreign-owned LLCs?

Bizee doesn't list it. Its bookkeeping and tax service, at $125 a month, covers business tax return preparation for sole proprietorships and single-member LLCs, and the page doesn't mention Form 5472.

Founders abroad should plan for this filing from the first year. A US single-member LLC owned by a non-US person generally files Form 5472 with a pro forma Form 1120 for each year it has reportable transactions with its owner. Money you put in or take out counts, including formation costs you pay, so it can apply in a year with no income. The IRS penalty for not filing is $25,000. Source: IRS instructions for Form 5472.
